Ian Theodore Cook M.A. Cantab, Phd. Hull. Senior mathematics lecturer Essex University. Chief examiner Cambridge examination board. Died quietly in his sleep after long struggle with dementia. Cremation June 8th. Family and family flowers only please. Donations, if you wish to Alzheimer's Society. Family man, mathematician, polymath, fell-walker, sailor, singer and cruciverbalist. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
