EVANS Roy Bowen Former Head Teacher of St Georges Junior School, Colchester. Passed away peacefully on Saturday 14th September 2019 aged 90. Devoted Husband to Jean. Wonderful Father to Michael and Jane Much loved Grandfather to six Grandchildren and Great Granddaughter. Funeral service to take place at St James Church, Nayland on Tuesday 29th October 2019 at 1.15pm. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Alzheimer's Society may be sent to Hunnaball of Colchester, York House, 41 Mersea Road, Colchester, CO2 7QT. Tel 01206 760049.

Mr Evan's was my headmaster at St George's School until I leave in 1974.He was a lovely man. Every St David's Day we brought in a leek and wear a daffodil in his lapel. He was a very proud Welsh man.
