Colchester-born snooker star Ali Carter is through to the final of the World Championships at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
The 28-year-old now meets Ronnie O'Sullivan, after winning an epic, nerve-wracking semi-final against Joe Perry, 17-15.
Leading 9-7 overnight, Carter - who grew up in Tiptree - was pegged back to 12-12 in the afternoon session, before coming back from 15-14 down to beat his opponent from Cambridgeshire.
He now meets former training partner O'Sullivan in the showpiece final, which starts tomorrow and ends on Monday.
Carter, the world number 14, has already beaten Barry Hawkins, Shaun Murphy and Peter Ebdon in this year's competition and scored a maximum 147 in his match against Ebdon.
