JUST champion!

The cross-country girls of St Andrews Primary School, Weeley, are still celebrating this week after winning the Essex County Championship at Colchester's Abbey Fields.

The eight girls, Bethany and Georgia Ibbotson, Helen Cosby, Chelsea Millward, Remy McDermott, April Howe, Rosie Henderson and Freya Dearman created a new chapter of history in the process as it is the first time the primary schools of Essex have held such a competition.

They won the right to become top girls in the county by winning the Tendring district championship earlier in the year.
