Colchester Rugby Club host Wymondham tomorrow looking to put one of their worst performances of the season behind them.

The All Blacks have already won promotion from London League division four north east and need just one point to be crowned as champions, but a 22-6 defeat at South Woodham Ferrers on Saturday saw the All Blacks forced to wait before they could crack open the title bubbly.

Coach Tim Grimsey said: “I was very, very unhappy.

“We had nine changes to the side, but they just simply did not play.

“It had better not happen again, it is unacceptable and strong words were said afterwards.

“They did not do anything that we have done all season, but took it upon themselves to change the gameplan that we have had.

“It was a bit like after the Lord Mayor’s Show, after we won promotion the week before, but if we play like that next season we will be back in London League four.”

Colchester travel to bottom side Crusaders for their final game of the season the week after.
