Colchester fell to defeat in Guernsey.

They lost their National League division three London and South East encounter 22-10.

The home side took the lead following a strong scrum with an unconverted try.

But Colchester replied with a try from full-back Jaid Wiltshire.

The conversion by James Crozier put the visitors two points in front.

Guernsey slotted a penalty to retake the lead at 8-7.

Two yellow cards though saw Colchester reduced to 13 men as first flanker Ben Murphy and Callum Irvine were sent to the sin bin.

Guernsey used their two-man advantage to score a converted try and extend their lead.

Crozier kicked a penalty to bring Colchester within five points of the home team at half-time.

However, after the break Guernsey scored a converted try for a 22-10 lead.

And despite a lot of effort from both sides that is how the score remained until the final whistle.
