STOKE by Nayland Golf Club staged their first qualifying medal of the year, despite two holes being on temporary greens.
There were some good scores posted, despite the Gainsborough course being quite wet after heavy rain the night before.
Playing from the green tees, the winner of division one was Steve Childs (10) with a nett score of 65.
He beat Rob Benson (11) by a shot and Steve Wood (6) by three shots.
The winner of division two, Gary Thompson (12) had the best score of the day with a nett 63.
He beat Byron Long (13) by one shot and Dan Finch (13) by three.
The third division was won by Nick Forsyth (17) with a nett score of 65, after he narrowly beat Luke Bennett (17) and Liam Worsdell (21) by a shot.
A solid start with a run of pars and two birdies on the back nine set him up for a good round.
All of these players can now look forward to a playing handicap cut, for the coming season.
