ROB Benson and Elaine Davidson scored an impressive 44 points to win the Princess Diana Memorial Trophy at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club.
They finished a point ahead of runners-up Nigel Byham and Mandy Byham to win the mixed greensomes event, played on the Gainsborough course.
Louis Freeman and Amanda Hall finished third with 39 points.
John Sandford and Diana Harris enjoyed the best back nine with 22 points, while the best front nine was achieved by Michael Isom and Roz Clements (24 points).
Corinne Jackson won Stoke by Nayland GC Ladies' weekly stableford competition after scoring 35 points on the Gainsborough course.
The ladies had the option for the first time to choose between the Yellow or Green tees in the same competition, with handicaps adjusted accordingly.
The course was in tip top condition partly, with rain helping to soften fairways and greens.
Jackson won the Silver category, a point ahead of Pamela Randle (34 points) and Sue Latham who was third with 33 points.
The Bronze category was won by Elaine Davidson with 34 points.
He finished two points ahead of runner-up Debbie Howlett while Angela Cudmore was third with 31 points.
Stoke by Nayland's Weekend Ladies played a stableford competition, on the Constable course.
Anne Hemmings won with 38 points, finishing three points ahead of runner-up Suzanne Shaw-Smith.
