SOME low scores were produced at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club’s Two Thorns and a Rose Mixed Scramble competition.
Norman and Elaine Davidson, along with Tom Everitt, were victorious in the popular mixed scramble competition, with a very good score of 61.7.
Teams of two men and a lady were in place for an early morning shotgun start, on the Gainsborough course.
The Stoke greenkeepers have worked very hard on drainage, new paths and clearing trees and undergrowth during the winter.
Results, February Junior Stableford: 1 Max Toombs 40 points; 2 Matthew Thompson 37 points; 3 Sam Nixon 28 points; 4 Isaac Toombs 24 points.
February stableford division one: 1 Matthew Eaves 38 points; 2 John Smith 37 points; 3 Don Wiggins 37 points.
Division two: 1 Shaun Underwood 39 points; 2 Richard Allen 37 points; 3rd Paul Elliott 37 points.
Nine-hole stableford: 1 Anne H 16 points; 2 Alison 14 points ocb; 3 Barbara J 14 points.
