Clacton’s Pheasant Puckers Golf Society have reflected on their successful 2015.

Captain Terry McTear welcomed Judith Anderson, the East Anglia regional fund-raiser for the Teenage Cancer Trust, to the West Road club.

He was pleased to hand over a cheque for £2,333 – the money raised during his year as captain. The Pheasant Pluckers meet every Wednesday through the summer months and have been doing so for the last 25 years.

They will be starting their season again on March 30, with Alf Smith their captain for 2016.
