Another loanee is in Devonshire's sights ahead of Southport clash

Braintree Town boss Alan Devonshire is hoping to secure a fresh addition to his squad ahead of Saturday’s Blue Square Bet Premier home game against Southport.
The Iron manager said he was looking to complete a loan signing before the weekend as he makes use of the emergency loan facility open to clubs following the closure of the January transfer window last month.
Devonshire has already brought in one loanee – Brendan Kiernan from League Two side AFC Wimbledon – in recent weeks and added that his new target is a young player currently with a club placed in a higher league than the Dons.
