Owen Garvan could be a makeweight in Ipswich’s attempts to prise Michael Chopra from Cardiff.
Tabloid reports have suggested the Irishman might be used in an attempt to bring the striker to Portman Road.
Town have apparently made a bid in the region of £3 million for their long-term target, who played under Town boss Roy Keane at Sunderland.
Garvan, meanwhile, has been told he doesn’t figure in Keane’s plans for 2010/11.
