Roy Keane has called for patience in his quest to bring new faces to Portman Road.
The Blues boss has made no secret of the fact he wants to make four or five signings, while also moving on a number of his first-team squad.
Ideally, he would like to get the recruits on board as soon as possible, before pre-season training begins on June 28.
But he concedes that is unlikely to happen and said: “Of course I’d like to sign players early in the summer.
“But I’m pretty sure I won’t. I think every club is the same.
“I’ll think what you’ll find over the next few months is that negotiations drag out, chief executives go away and players go on their holidays.
“You think you can set medicals up but it’s very, very difficult.
“I tried it last year and I tried it the year before, so there has to be an element of patience.”
