Roy Keane has admitted being “amazed” by his side's inability to win back-to-back matches.

Ipswich Town have yet to notch consecutive Championship victories, although they did follow up their December win against QPR with an FA Cup success at Blackpool.

However, they have the chance to put things right in the league tomorrow, when they entertain Scunthorpe.

It gives them the perfect opportunity to build on Tuesday's 2-0 win against Cardiff.

Asked about his side's failure to notch back-to-back triumphs, boss Keane said: “It's amazing.

“I wish I could give you an answer for it.

“We had such a poor start to the season but in the last three or four months, apart from the odd blip, we've been much better and had chances in every game.

“Our home form has been decent and you go into every game believing you can get a result.

“Any team can win a game of football but the good teams back it up.

“The players have got to do the talking on the pitch.

“There's been far too much talking going on, from me, the staff, the players and everyone.”
