IPSWICH striker Connor Wickham has calmed speculation linking him with a summer move to Tottenham by signing a new contract at Portman Road.
Wickham - who turned 18 just last week - has long been linked with a move to White Hart Lane and has so far scored seven goals for the npower Championship club in his first full season.
The England Under-21 international, who was named the Football League's young player of the season last month, has now added a year to his current deal to keep him in Suffolk until the summer of 2014.
Speaking at this morning's press conference, manager Paul Jewell said: "Connor signing a new deal until 2014 won't stop all the speculation but it shows we are committed to him and he is committed to us.
"It's good news. An awful lot is spoken about him and he has done terrifically well."
