Ipswich Town brushed their league woes to one side tonight after booking their spot in the Carling Cup semi-finals.

Roy Keane's side, reeling after four straight defeats, kept their hopes of cup silverware alive after beating West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at Portman Road.

Grant Leadbitter scored the only goal, from the penalty spot, after 69 minutes.

The spot-kick was awarded after Carlos Edwards was fouled by Graham Dorrans.
