Colchester United do not expect to do any business before the transfer window slams shut at 6pm today.
U’s boss John Ward is happy with his current squad, although he may be tempted by the option of signing players on a temporary basis when the loan market reopens next week.
Colchester have not received any offers for any of their prize assets, who include left-back Marc Tierney - out of contract at the end of the season - and goalkeeper Ben Williams.
And they are confident of keeping their squad together, as they strive to maintain their unbeaten start to the npower League One season.
Ward told the Gazette: “There’s nothing happening, as we speak.
“We have made no enquiries and we have had no enquiries.
“As far as we’re concerned, it’s all quiet."
