Bring on the Canaries.
Ipswich Town striker Kevin Lisbie already has one eye on Sunday’s East Anglian derby with arch rivals Norwich City.
And he believes his side will head into the game with renewed spirit and confidence following yesterday’s hard-earned 1-1 draw at Bristol City.
Giovani Dos Santos’ injury-time penalty secured them a draw, which helped Jim Magilton’s side bounce back from their 3-1 defeat at home to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Now, looking ahead to the Canaries encounter, former Colchester United man Lisbie said: “This result has given us confidence and sets us up nicely for Norwich.
“It would be such a good game to win and, after so many disappointing results at home this season, it would be great for our fans to end the season on a high.
“We’re going to show our passion – I don’t think our supporters would accept us just going through the motions – and, although I don’t want to see anyone get relegated, we’re professional and we’ve got a job to do.
“Hopefully we can give them a spanking.”
