CAROLINE Lowe was the winner of Stoke by Nayland Golf Club Ladies' first match of 2018.
She won by four points ahead of Jill Lines, who finished ahead of Meal Went on countback after both players finished on 14 points.
A total of 11 players took part in the nine-hole competition on the Gainsborough Course on another wet day, which made the playing conditions fairly unpleasant.
After the match, many past and present members came up to the club for a social afternoon.
Stoke by Nayland GC also received a visit from their junior member, Lily May Humphreys.
The 15-year-old is fresh from her latest triumph in the United States, where she became the first English winner of the Junior Orange Bowl International.
She won the event at Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables, Miami, by nine shots.
