Witham Town's reward for their FA Cup heroics last weekend will be another away day at a fellow Bostik League division north side in the first qualifying round.

Adam Flint's team won 2-0 in the preliminary round at Essex rivals Canvey Island on Saturday and the first qualifying round draw has handed them another trip when they will head to Ware.

First qualifying round games will be played on September 2, with a £3,000 prize up for grabs as well as a place in the second qualifying round.

There will also be an away day for Heybridge Swifts in the first qualifying round if they can win their preliminary round replay against Haverhill Rovers on Tuesday night, with a potential trip to Arlesey Town awaiting Jody Brown's team.

Brightlingsea Regent are another local side who have been handed an away draw.

As they are now playing in step three of the non-league pyramid, it will be the first outing in the competition this year for the R's and they are heading to Evo-Stik Southern League division east side Hanwell Town at the start of next month.

The Southern League division east also provides the opposition for Maldon & Tiptree in the next round as the Jammers will entertain Hayes and Yeading at Park Drive.
