EVERY one of Colchester Swimming Club's masters swimmers who competed at the Essex Masters Championships in Basildon managed a top-three position in at least one event, with many posting personal best times.

The team of Jenny Stemp, Katie Holmes, Charlotte Williams, Rob Milburn, Ray Barry, Damian Navarrette, Jason Cole and Simon Emm came fourth overall, winning 16 gold medals, 11 silver and four bronze between them.

Notable performances came from Holmes, who won four golds and four silver medals and came first overall in both the 50 metre and 100m breaststroke events.

Emm claimed five gold medals, Stemp took three gold medals and three silvers and Milburn collected three gold medals and one silver and finished first overall in the 100m breaststroke.

Meanwhile, Emma Cook and Julian Turner, both competed in the five-kilometre Eton Swim at Dorne Lake and both finished in the top 30 as they came second in their respective age categories.
