Chris wins the day in Basil Warner
CHRIS Day won the Basil Warner stableford competition, at Harwich and Dovercourt Golf Club.
He triumphed with 34 points, on countback from Bernie Henderson.
Alan Scott was third, with 31, and Keith Morris fourth, with 29.
In the club’s annual ladies against vets shield mixed match, the vets prevailed 4-2.
The team captains – ladies’ captain Georgina Grout and vets’ captain Jim Brown – are pictured.
Meanwhile, Harwich’s veterans suffered a 5-3 defeat in their match at Fynn Valley.
