HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS continued their pre-season campaign against Dagenham and Redbridge Academy They suffered a 2-1 defeat at Scraley Road.

Swifts were drawing 1-1 at half-time thanks to a goal from Josh Fagbohun.

But Dagenham snatched the win after the break.

FC CLACTON won 5-3 in their match at Coggeshall Town.

The Seasiders’ goals came from Aaron Condon, Kevin Coyle, Ben Parkin, Blake Panrucker and Charlie Thompson.

STANWAY ROVERS lost 3-2 to visiting Norwich City Academy.

The home goals came from Jake Clowsley and Jamie Shaw.

BRANTHAM ATHLETIC also had to deal with defeat, a 3-1 loss to visiting Needham Market.

HALSTEAD TOWN, however, were in a winning mood after a following a 2-1 win against a visiting Felixstowe XI.

Charlie Pleace and Dave Morgan were the Humbugs goalscorers.

BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT were held to a 2-2 draw at Whitton United.

On target for the R’s were Phil Kelly and George Clark.

MALDON AND TIPTREE have also been busy despite not playing this weekend.

Following their 3-2 defeat to visiting Chelmsford City on Thursday night they have re-signed Brad Hunter and Mitch Hunter for the coming season and added Dan Emman, Hassan Nalbant, Kieran Monlouis, Femi Akinwande, Darren McQueen, Oliver Emsden and Benjamin Wyatt to their playing rosta.

IT was a football free weekend for Braintree Town.

The wet weather on Friday hit Braintree Town’s pre-season preparations and caused both of their games this weekend to be cancelled.

Having lost Friday evening’s game at Bury Town to a waterlogged pitch, Lowestoft Town’s pitch was also too wet for Saturday afternoon’s scheduled game to go ahead.

Witham Town’s scheduled pre-season at Brentwood Town also fell foul of the weather.
