Colchester United will check on the fitness of skipper David Fox today.
The U’s midfielder suffered a painful toe injury in the closing stages of their 2-2 draw at Gillingham, last Saturday.
Colchester have a 13-day break between games with their next match in League One against Port Vale, on Good Friday.
They are hoping that their experienced captain will be fit for the vital Easter period.
U's boss Tony Humes said: “David jarred his toe – he got an impact injury and it’s quite sore.
“There was a lot of numbness in the foot so we’ll have to see how he responds.”
