Tom Eastman has urged Colchester United’s supporters to help cheer them on to a precious victory over Leyton Orient this weekend.

Tony Humes’ side take on the O’s in a League One basement battle, knowing a win could lift them out of the League One relegation zone.

Some Colchester fans booed following their side’s 2-0 home defeat against Walsall at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, last Saturday.

The U’s have lost five successive home league games and have picked up fewer points at home than any other team in the top four divisions.

But Eastman, 23, believes their support can help them - and wants the U’s faithful to stay behind their team ahead of a vital relegation clash.

Eastman said: “The support makes a big difference to us and we need them behind us on Saturday."
