Frinton Cricket Club have unveiled their first close-season signing by recruiting Mistley captain Kyran Young.
The Australian is joining the coastal club as they step up their preparations for next season’s Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League season.
Frinton were promoted from the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship earlier this year, after finishing as champions and winning a play-off fixture at Ramsey.
Young has now become their first new arrival and committee member and former first-team skipper Russ Everson says the club are excited at the prospect of the all-rounder playing at Ashlyns Road.
“Kyran is a top player and sets high standards for himself and those who play with him,” said the Frinton stalwart.
“He wants the challenge of Premier League cricket and that’s something we can offer him at Frinton."
