FC Clacton lift the Knockout Cup

11:32am Saturday 8th May 2010

FC Clacton came from behind to beat Halstead Town 2-1 and lift the Ridgeons League First Division Knockout Cup, at Hadleigh United FC.

It looked as though Halstead were on their way to victory, after substitute Chris Bryan latched on to Shane Stamp's pass and smartly finished, with 12 minutes to go.

But the Seasiders were back on level terms five minutes later when James Dunkley powerfully headed home.

And Matt Waters' fine low shot with two minutes to go sealed victory for David Coyle's men and helped them finish a superb season on a high.
