STANWAY Rovers will be playing for pride when they journey to Norfolk for tomorrow’s Ridgeons League, premier division clash with lowly Wisbech Town.
Joint team-boss Rob Bate said: “We have a lot of pride in our squad, pride to achieve the best we can and pride to finish as high up the league as we can.
“We are enjoying a decent run of form at the moment and we are very keen to keep that going against a Wisbech team who are currently struggling third from bottom.”
But, he stressed: “We will be taking nothing for granted.”
The spacious Fenland Park pitch should suit the ball-playing Rovers players down to the ground.
And Bate said: “We should be at full strength tomorrow and our players are able to adjust to whatever is put in front of them.
“Our sole aim since the start of the season has been to finish as high as we can – we have never deviated from that.”
