HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS' wonderful winning run is finally over after Jody Brown's side were pipped at AFC Sudbury.

The Scraley Road team, who had won their opening five Bostik League division north matches, were leading at the break but eventually went down 3-2.

Juan Luque scored both of Heybridge's goals, putting them ahead on the half-hour mark at the Wardale Williams Stadium.

Sam Clarke's penalty restored parity but Luque scored again three minutes later to give Swifts a 2-1 lead.

However, Louis Blake and Adam Mills scored in the latter stages to secure maximum points for Sudbury.

Mills was sent off in stoppage time after being shown his second yellow card.

It was also 3-2 to the hosts as BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT fell to a premier division defeat at Dorking Wanderers.

Billy Hunt's penalty had cancelled out Dan Pearse's opener but James McShane and Tom Tolfrey gave Dorking a 3-1 advantage.

Aaron Condon gave Regent hope, but there was no way back at the Westhumble Community Ground.

Back in division north, there was another 3-2 scoreline as WITHAM TOWN slid to defeat at Ware.

Pat Ahern's seventh-minute goal put Witham in the driving seat but Yannick Kamanan's leveller and an own goal from Tyler Corlett handed the initiative to Ware.

Shamido Pedulu made it all-square but there was late heartache for Adam Flint's men as Gareth Madden netted in the 90th minute.

Ware's Ahmed Abdullah had been sent off a couple of minutes earlier.

MALDON AND TIPTREEE drew 1-1 at home to Waltham Abbey.

Billy Holland put Abbey ahead seven minutes before the break but Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe's penalty secured a point for the Jammers.
