FC CLACTON'S match at home to Saffron Walden has been postponed, after the pitch failed an 11am inspection.
The sides were set to meet in a Thurlow Nunn League premier division contest at the Rush Green Bowl.
Heavy rain on Thursday put the game in doubt, but officials were hopeful the contest would go ahead after a dry day on Friday.
However, overnight rain eventually killed off any hope and a decision was made to postpone the fixture shortly after 11am.
Elsewhere in the league, Wivenhoe Town's top-of-the-table division one contest at Ely City was postponed on Friday.
Officials made an early call that the pitch would not dry out in time.
Brantham Athletic played on Friday night but lost 3-0 at home to neighbours Hadleigh United.
