FC CLACTON boss David Coyle is hoping Paul Hillier will pull on a Seasiders shirt again between now and May.
The former club skipper has been tempted back in recent weeks and played the full 90 minutes of Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against Gorleston.
He also played in the recent derby at Wivenhoe Town.
“Paul was the stand-out player in the first half,” said Coyle.
“He was excellent and I’m really hopeful I can persuade him to play a little bit more between now and the end of the season.
“I still think he enjoys it and he worked really hard on Tuesday night. His touch of quality makes a difference.
“He’s always clever and forward-thinking.
“It’s tidy football. The ball drops and he can always caress it to a team-mate.
“He looks relaxed and has time on the ball.
“He’s such a good player and I just hope we can get a bit more out of him.
“I feel confident we’ll see more of him and he’ll play in another three or four games.”
