BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT made it five straight Ryman League division one north victories tonight after beating Romford 3-1 at North Road.

An early own goal put them in the driving seat and Ollie Canfer soon doubled their advantage, after a great through ball from Matt Cripps.

Romford pulled one back direct from a corner shortly before half-time before Phil Kelly turned and fired in a low effort from 20 yards to make it 3-1.

In addition to being a fifth straight league success, the victory extended Regent's run to six wins in seven league and cup contests, since being knocked out of the FA Trophy at Bedford.
