Gas Recreation just don't seem to want to clinch the Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division title.

They drew 3-3 at Coggeshall Town and they still could be overhauled if they continue to throw games away like this.

West Bergholt pushed towards second place as they beat Great Bentley 2-0, but Hatfield Peverel came unstuck 3-1 at University of Essex.

Alresford Colne Rangers continued their poor league form as the lost 1-0 to Dedham Old Boys, while Tiptree Heath gave a rare point to Lawford Lads in a 2-2 draw.

The top two both won again in division one as the race for the title goes all the way, with neither White Notley nor Mersea Island taking their eyes off the crown.

White Notley travelled to Sudbury Athletic and trounced them 5-1, while Mersea Island beat Great Bradfords 5-2.

Hedinghams are still trying for third place as they beat Foxash Social 5-1 and Holland FC went to Kelvedon and won 3-0.

Mistley United went two up in the first ten minutes at Boxted Lodgers, who then hit back with two themselves, before the visitors regained the lead before half-time.

Mistley then controlled the second half, with Lewis Brown-Sawyer completing his hat-trick, Kevin Brown scoring two and Ashley Feaviour a single in a 6-2 scoreline.

In the reserves section, the premier division title remains up for grabs and the race is tighter than ever.

University of Essex remain in pole position after a 6-0 win at Lawford Lads and Gas Recreation slipped up at home 3-1 to Earls Colne, but Little Oakley's 2-1 win over Mistley United moved them into contention.

Great Bentley drew 4-4 with Brightlingsea Regent and Weeley Athletic romped home 4-0 against Coggeshall Town, with a hat-trick from Luke Hughes and a single from Nick Gower. In division one, Clare Town travelled to Hatfield Peverel and won 5-2 and Gosfield United moved off the bottom with a 3-0 win over Bures United, while Great Bradfords and Mersea Island drew 0-0.

White Notley Reserves beat Alresford Reserves 3-1 in the Tommy Thompson Cup semi-final.
