Due to more heavy rain most of the week only seven games made the first whistle in the Colchester Sunday League.

In division one, Tollegion couldn't grab the chance to go second as they only drew 0-0 with Highwoods Foxash.

St Edmunds put some welcome space between themselves and the bottom three with a 5-3 win against ten-man AFC Pegasus Reserves.

The Riverview against Chappel and Wakes Colne match was switched to Chappel's home ground but it was Riverview who took the points with a 2-1 victory. Roach got a brace for Riverview with Cooty getting the Chapple consolation.

comprehensive Just one game was completed in division three as Polstead played host to Blueforces, who did their title chances no harm with a comprehensive 8-1 victory.

There was a hat-trick each for Revie and Price and one apiece for Watts and Baker.

Blueforces also scored an own goal to give Polstead their consolation.

In division four, leaders FC Byair looked to have wrapped up the points in their match at AFC Lexden with goals from Butler and Thompkinson, but a 30-yard free-kick from Broadhead in the last minute, added to Buda's earlier strike, tied the match to send both teams home with a point.

Division five leaders Allstars racked- up eight through Williams (4), Chapler (2), Shave and Wakelin against Sportsman, who could only muster one in reply.

In division six, Real BTS Reserves put six past Stone Island without reply, with strikes coming from White (4), Joy and Jennings.
