Essex defeat Worcestershire in CB40

ESSEX defeated hosts Worcestershire by 25 runs in their CB40 match at Worcester today.

The Eagles posted 269-4 in their 40-over innings, with opener Mark Pettini clubbing 111, Tom Westley hitting 62 and Ryan ten Doeschate 50.

Graham Napier then took 3-57 and Harbhajan Singh 2-56 as Worcestershire were restricted to 244-8.
