AT this time of year – as in the football world – clubs get linked with various players, and we have been linked with Dominic Cork, pictured below.
All I can say is that we are always interested in good players who are out of contract.
We would like another senior bowler to support David Masters and Graham Napier.
And if we had another experienced guy along with the younger lads – Reece Topley, Tymal Mills and Maurice Chambers – that would give us a nice group of six bowlers.
So if Corky became available, we may want to speak to him.
But I’m sure there will be other clubs who want to speak to him as well because he has still got a lot of quality.
If we did want to speak to him, it would not be a panic-attack in wanting to sign a 40-year-old bowler.
It would just be a case of bringing in someone who can help our group, not just on the field, but off it as well.
So we may speak to him if he becomes available, but we don’t know if that is going to be the case at the moment.
