Graham Napier is “honoured” to be the leading Twenty20 wicket-taker in world cricket.
The Essex star, from Colchester, has been wintering in New Zealand and moved to the top of the pile during Central Districts’ successful HRV Cup campaign.
Napier had the pleasure of beating Essex team-mate Ravi Bopara, playing for Auckland, in the final and Bopara was one of the victims which helped put him in the record books.
He told his personal website www.grahamnapier.com: “It’s a great feeling to be top of the list."
