THE exploits of a trio of Colchester and East Essex Cricket Club youngsters were recognised at the club’s ECB Open Day.
Ben Brown, Ed Burle and Cameron Sprott all received their Cooper BMW player of the week awards at Castle Park, following their recent achievements for the club.
Brown was acknowledge following a match-winning performance in Colchester’s Peter Coe Cup tie at Woodford Wells, while Burle claimed five wickets in their under-11 match against Mistley.
Sprott claimed four wickets for Colchester’s under-13s in their game against their Great Bromley counterparts.
The trio all pictured receiving their awards from Cooper BMW’s Kevin Appleton, along with Colchester committee chairman Neil Thomas and the club’s under-12 coach, David Merriday.
