O'Toole at the double in U's friendly win
John-Joe O'Toole scored twice for Colchester United reserves in their 2-1 friendly win over a West Ham United development side this afternoon.
O'Toole, making his comeback from a groin injury, netted twice in the first half before being withdrawn after 74 minutes of the match at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Freddie Piquionne grabbed the Hammers consolation goal just before the hour mark but the U's held out for victory.
Colchester defender Matt Heath limped out of the win with a hamstring injury.

More of a worry is the central defence. With Matt Heath now injured we are down to youngsters as cover on the bench, although John White has played there on more than one occasion.

I was planning to go along today. That was really, really bad, Colchester Gazette! I was planning on going along. What an appalling 'typo'! I think an apology to me and several other fans that were plannin gto go along should be made and urgently!! Up the U's! P.S. Good to see Jon Jo back and in the scoring books!
UP THE U'S !
