Former U's keeper Williams signs for Hibs
3:41pm Tuesday 10th July 2012 in Sport By Jonathan Waldron
Scotland bound - former U's keeper Ben Williams has joined Hibernian.
Former Colchester United goalkeeper Ben Williams has signed for Hibernian on a two-year deal.
The shot-stopper, who left the U's last week after his contract expired at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, will play his football at Easter Road next season after agreeing to join the Scottish Premier League side.
Williams joined Colchester in 2009 and made more than 120 appearances for the League One club.
U's boss John Ward has said that Mark Cousins will be his number one goalkeeper this season, following Williams' departure.

Hibs have home crowds no greater than typical English Division One.
Did he panic when an offer didn't come? How many others are like this - think John Ward is playing a cunning game - waiting for the bargains (striker?) arising when the greedy realise that they are not getting the offers they seek
