Good news I have always rated Kem, now lets get some strikers in!

Best news of the week so far. Got a lot of time for Kem.

what strange comments still not surprised from the people above. for 6 years yes a very good player who i enjoyed watching always gave his best in a col u shirt but sadly his time is up. not much doubt he will sign his contract dont see any other takers. sad times im afraid but i shall go on supporting the U's like all of you just share different views. lets all hope we hear better news on the transfer front

Rancid news; it is mystifying when there are so many talented midfielders available for free this summer that Ward has retained by far the worst player in his squad. Izzet wouldn’t look out of place in the Blue Square Bet South: abysmal distribution, negligible technical ability, runs around like a headless chicken, can’t tackle without a slew of fouls and/or bookings. A dire player for the dreadful brand of football served up at the Weston’s under Ward.

Can't say I see the logic in this especially with mr bean signing, surely use the wage for extra centre backs/strikers. The club keeps harping on about reducing the budget this seems an obvious choice, also serves as a warning to players that stall on contracts, otherwise it's just empty threats ESP after Magnus being told he has more time

It seems that Kem is the player once again that splits opinions amongst fans. Thats cool.

Here is some facts about Kem.

Under John Ward,No one has started more games for Colchester. He has started 76 (along with Wordsworth).

Under Aidy Boothroyd, Izzet was the 7th highest starter (still on a high 34 starts and 7 subs).

Under Paul Lambert Izzet started 43 games and only Mark Yeates started more (44 games).

Under Geraint Williams, Izzet started over 90 games in the championship. No one else got close to this.

Under Phil Parkinson, Izzet started 89 games and only kevin Watson (who started over 100!!!!) started and played more.

"Kem Izzet expects to put pen to paper on a new contract before the end of the month....

Seven weeks later he has still not signed a new contract.
Izzet's contract offer should now be withdrawn.

Here are four facts about Izzet:

1.He will be 32 in September
and he is unlikely to get any quicker or sharper.

2.He has not scored a league goal in three seasons and he has scored only three league goals in eight seasons.

3.He was not an automatic first team choice in Phil Parkinson's 2005-2006 promotion winning team and that season he made
only nineteen league starts,plus another fourteen from the bench.

4.In ten seasons (2002-2012)
he has committed 396 fouls
(correct,396)and he has been booked fifty seven times
(and that's just in league matches).

Here is another fact. None of us wants to know that Kem might, or might not, sign a new contract in the next few days. We just want to know when he has signed it, or not, as the case may be. I want him to sign. But if he'd rather sign for Chelsea, or Wivenhoe Town, then good luck to him either way.

I'm not his biggest fan, but my main grudge would be if were reducing budgets surely midfield is one we could have spared and that was before otoole resigning and bean.

But hey Di Canio is a mug by some people on here. Swindon have even started training with seven new signings and have gone to Italy for two weeks of intense training and to adapt mentaly. Err I think you already have started picking holes in it Super W? Theres obviously bad blood between you two and although I agree with you on some of your stuff, Crazy is only saying what loads of us are thinking. Cowling knows nothing about football and his business brain is not what it used to be and he two don't mix. Ward has the pace of a striking slug when it comes to new signings, can't remember the song but it's Bon Jovi and he mentions " he is stuck in some basement and the good s**ts gone" Ward is in the same basement? I would love my home town team to do well next season but I just can't see it?

THANKS Super. Who cares a toss Super because my writing is bad and full of errors. I was in band D at a secondary modern school where they called us dunces. I left school without a qualification to my name. However what I did have, but was not aware off, was a business brain that had vision and good organisation in which to inspire other people. I have worked my socks of all my working life and taken huge gambles to get where I wanted to achieve. I learnt that without speculating you never achieved nothing. If someone came to me for a job with a load of CVs it meant **** all to me. They might have known it in theory but in practice no. I would much prefer to pick someone with lesser knowledge who I knew would turn out a far better candidate. I admit english and maths are not my best subjects , but then look at Alan Sugar and Richard Branston both with low I Qs but hugely successfull in business. The same goes for John Ward got all his coaching badges ideal number two but as a manager not got a clue.
Sorry super regards this boring old toss again but I honestly believe that you yourself have never ever played football in a team or been to any other matches than Colchester United.

Rather than just sit at home on my backside while I was negotiating in purchasing a fresh venture I took a temporary job. Certainly not a racist thug Smithy. I hate violence full stop, plus cruelty to children and animals. I always donate and give generous to any appeals on T.V. You would be very pleasantly surprised if you knew me as a person and what I do for people in a less fortunate position than myself. I dont agree with every thing you say in fact I agree on some points. Now i will ask you a personal and frank question. If you had relatives or family that were killed by a plane crashing into a skyscraper tower block, would you laugh out loud and think it funny when shown on TV the following day. Well these Indian blokes did and tensions being very high at the time I told them I thought they were out of order. I still stand by that. Certainly not a racist thug Smithy. I hate violence full stop, plus cruelty to children and animals. I always donate and give generous to any appeals on T.V. You would be very pleasantly surprised if you knew me as a person and what I do for people in a less fortunate position than myself. I dont agree with every thing you say in fact I agree on some points. Now i will ask you a personal and frank question. If you had relatives or family that were killed by a plane crashing into a skyscraper tower block, would you laugh out loud and think it funny when shown on TV the following day. Well these Indian blokes did and tensions being very high at the time I told them I thought they were out of order. I still stand by that. Just to finish I once had a very good friend called Anne and like you she had very strong left wing views. Believe it or not we got on like a house on fire. She had her views, i had mine but always good friendly banter between us which it should always be.

Actually, I think you might be right. Anybody laughing at the 9/11 atrocity is I agree, sick.
I think if we actually met, rather than wanting to 'gob' in my face, we might actually find we get on. We both clearly have a great love of the beautiful game. And as you say, a bit of friendly banter is how it should be.
