JJ Wilson's goal midway through the second half helped Colchester United under-21 secure a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday, in their latest Professional Development League Two match.
Colchester fell behind just before the half hour when the Owls took the lead from the penalty spot.
But Wilson struck in the 64th minute to salvage a share of the spoils for the in-form U's youngsters, who have now taken 13 points from their opening six league games.
Drey Wright, Tom Lapslie and Jamie Harney all featured for Colchester against the Owls, along with recent signing, goalkeeper Dillon Barnes.
