Colchester United teenagers Cameron James and Tariq Issa have both penned new four-year contracts with the club.
The 17-year-old duo, who are both second-year scholars with the U's, have impressed during their time with the club's academy.
Centre-half James has featured in both of Colchester's opening two pre-season friendlies, while attacker Issa is likely to play a big part for the club's under-21 side under John McGreal, this season.
