Colchester United are set for talks with trialists Ollie Lee and Elliot Parish today.
The duo have featured for the U’s in their opening two pre-season friendlies.
Lee is a free agent after being released by Championship side Birmingham City, at the end of last season.
And keeper Parish is looking for a new club, having most recently played his league football with Blackpool.
Both played for Colchester in their friendly wins against Heybridge Swifts and Brentwood Town.
Colchester boss Tony Humes said: “I’ll sit down with them and see what they want from us and what they want to do.
“We still have a few things to work out ourselves and we have to be fair to the players as well.
“They both did well against Brentwood and I was impressed by them, so it’s given us something to think about.”
