Tony Humes has praised Colchester United supporters for their fantastic support at Coventry City.
More than 500 U's fans made the trip to the Ricoh Arena to cheer on their team, who were beaten 1-0 by the Sky Blues.
And Colchester boss Humes said the backing was appreciated by players and management alike.
Humes said: “I thought the fans were fantastic all game.
“They kept going and they supported the team and willed us on.
“It’s disappointing for them, for us and for everybody involved with the club that we didn’t get at least a point out of the game.
“Their support has been fantastic all season and they’ve stuck by the team.
“We know it’s difficult but what they give to us is an awful lot and everyone is really appreciative of them."
