Colchester United face a Preston North End side who lie sixth in the table and are unbeaten at Deepdale so far this season.
However, U's boss Tony Humes believes they should not be scared of taking on the Lilywhites tomorrow.
He said: “The players have got to go into games with no fear and with the confidence they’ve gained from previous performances.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult game but the boys should be full of confidence after their performances and the win last weekend.
“We’ll go into it in the same frame of mind and approach it in a positive manner.
“We’ve got to be tactically very strong and it’s up to us to utilise our assets and recognise our strengths."
U’s skipper Magnus Okuonghae again misses out as he serves the fourth and final game of his suspension.
Midfielder Sammie Szmodics is still sidelined with an ankle injury but is expected to return to training next week.
Jabo Ibehre has returned to training following his knee injury but is not yet ready to return.
