U's boss Dunne only interested in winning
12:00pm Friday 1st March 2013 in Sport By Jonathan Waldron
Decisive dozen - U's boss Joe Dunne knows the club's next 12 games are all equally important, in their battle to beat the drop.
Joe Dunne is preparing his Colchester United players for a dozen “cup finals” between now and the end of the season.
And the U’s boss has stressed that draws will not be good enough for his side in their battle to beat the drop.
Colchester head to Stevenage tomorrow, knowing that a win could be enough to lift them out of the League One relegation zone.
They lie a point adrift of safety ahead of the game at Broadhall Way.
And with his side having drawn just once during Dunne’s time in charge, the U’s boss knows that winning is everything at this stage of the campaign.
Dunne said: “Every game is now isolated into a one-off cup final.
“We treated the game against Yeovil as a cup final and we need to match that level of commitment against Stevenage."

On Tuiesday night the U's looked like a Championship side. If they carry on like that, then they are safe, and can go for promotion next season. Yes, it is a big "if", but it can be done.
Up the U's.
