Colchester United's survival hopes have been given a major boost after Chelsea agreed to extend midfielder Billy Clifford's loan spell until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has started the U's last five matches in League One since joining them on loan from Chelsea, last month.
And the midfielder has helped them register three wins in their last four matches, as they continue to battle against relegation.
U's boss Joe Dunne said: "We're delighted to secure Billy's services until the end of the season."
