Colchester United have received a boost after midfielder John-Joe O’Toole was given the green light to begin recovery work, following a groin injury.
O’Toole has not featured for the U’s first team since mid-January but could be nearing a comeback, after being given a thumbs up from the specialist.
Ward added: “John-Joe is pushing on now.
“He’s seen a specialist and he and (physio) Tony Flynn have both got more knowledge from that report.
“It won’t be long before John-Joe can be back involved and that’s good news for everyone.”
