Aidy Boothroyd thinks his trusted sports psychologist Keith Mincher can aid Colchester United’s promotion push.
U’s boss Boothroyd has been reunited with his former colleague Mincher, with whom he previously worked at Watford, Norwich City and Peterborough United.
Mincher also has experience of working for the Football Association, with England under-21s.
Now he is working alongside Colchester’s players, in a bid to enhance their chances of returning to the Coca-Cola Championship.
Boothroyd said: “He comes in and he observes.
“He’s like a third person; a fly on the wall."
